I was responsible for research, conceptualisation, finalising silhouettes, creating tech packs as well as overlooking pattern making, material sourcing, construction and styling.

Collection 1 brief: Create a collection that aligns with IRTH’s blend of modern functionality and timeless elegance. Focus on adding elements of joy- playful details, dynamic textures and evoke a sense of delight.

This theme draws inspiration from Indian flowers and vibrant local flower markets, infusing the conventional floral hothouse aesthetic with a layer of cultural sentiment and nostalgia.

A dreamlike fusion of lush greens and blush pinks with subtle pops of yellow- evokes the essence of an enchanted garden untouched by time.

A vivid bright green forms the foundation of the palette, evoking freshness and vitality. It's balanced with soft off-white to create breathing space and subtle contrast. Accents of pink, purples, creams, and orange echo the natural hues of Indian florals

Aged 28 and above, this group is typically in the early stages of career growth—often after a first promotion or job switch—resulting in increased disposable income and a greater willingness to invest in quality everyday goods.

Leather bags featuring a bonded microfiber suede lining, complemented by light gold hardware and edge paint in a matching tone (DTM) for a clean, cohesive finish.

SILHOUETTE AND SURFACE EXPLORARTION

SILHOUETTE: BUD TO BLOOM: Bags designed to mirror the poetic transformation of a flower—from bud to full bloom; capturing the elegance and rhythm of natural growth.

Paper miniatures were created to explore strap construction and understand the functional details of the bags.

SURFACE: Embroidery motifs are drawn from Indian mythology, rooted in native flora, and commonly found in traditional flower markets—blending cultural significance with everyday familiarity.

Initial samples of the selected embroidery artwork were developed.

SECRET GARDEN HANDHELD
The handheld represents the bud stage of the flower. It features an adjustable strap with embroidery on the underside. It features concealed magnetic tabs as the main closure and an interior microfibre suede pouch with a zip closure and three slip pockets.

SECRET GARDEN MEDIUM TOTE The medium tote is the beginning of the blooming process. It features double straps with embroidery on the underside. It features concealed magnetic tabs as the main closure and an interior microfibre suede pouch with a zip closure and three slip pockets.

SECRET GARDEN LARGE TOTE+ SLING The large tote represents the full bloom phase. It features double straps with embroidery on the underside. It features concealed magnetic tabs as the main closure and an interior leather bag. The interior pouch attaches onto the shell with a dog-hook and can be converted to a sling using the detachable strap.

SECRET GARDEN BUCKET BAG The bucket bag represents the entire bud to bloom process with its drawstring closure. It features a strap with embroidery on the underside. It features an interior microfibre suede pouch with a drawstring closure.

COLLECTION DESCRIPTION The collection features four bags—a handheld, two totes, and a bucket bag. Each bag includes an interior microfiber pouch equipped with a zip pocket and three slip compartments, thoughtfully designed to organize and protect valuables. Leather tabs with concealed magnets ensure the bags remain securely closed without disrupting their clean silhouettes. All styles are finished with two-tone straps—green on top, off-white beneath— with the underside subtly embroidered with floral motifs, offering a quiet, unexpected moment of beauty for the user. I also created a set of scarves as accessories for the bags.

INFERENCES
My internship at Titan Company Limited with IRTH was my first independent design experience, offering valuable insight into user-centric accessory design that blends function, detail, and brand values.

MY EXPERIENCE
This experience strengthened my skills and prepared me to contribute confidently to contemporary design. I am immensely grateful to the mentors and artisans who helped bring my ideas to life.
