SPEC SHEET
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
I picked out materials and made patterns based on an existing pouch. I derived the pattern and modified it to hold volume and added an internal pouch.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION The pouch was made using foil finish goat skin, taffeta lining ,a zipper and a snap button. A T-gusset added volume to the boch. The simple chevron foil added a sense of play whereas the feel of the leather added a sense of luxury.
OUTER: Leather- Foil finish goat skin
LINING: Taffeta
CLOSURE: Snap button and zipper
This was one of the first products I designed during our third semester, which focused on understanding materials and mastering basic construction techniques. The project involved analyzing an existing pouch, extracting its pattern, and making functional modifications. This process encouraged me to examine the product in detail, enhancing my understanding of its design principles and teaching me how to apply similar methods to future creations.
